Our work with SOS Children’s Villages
SOS Children’s Villages (SOS CV) is the world's largest orphan charity. It helps children who have lost their parents, whether as a result of disease, war, natural disaster or abandonment. The charity provides a home and a family for children who have nowhere to go and no-one to turn to.
SOS CV currently runs 450 Villages in 123 countries, providing new families for over 60,000 children. Each village community hosts between 10 and 20 families, with up to 10 children per family. The provision of essential amenities such as schools, medical facilities and community centres further improve the children's lives and prospects.
Pinsent Masons provides practical support to the charity’s UK office in Cambridge, as well as contributing financial support to help the SOS Children’s Village in Kaifeng, China. This year we will cover all of the running costs of the schools in the Village, safeguarding the education of the 144 resident children.
